The ale or Beer adds an amazing deep flavour to the stew. The Beef was really soft and flavoured really nicely by the Ale. TIPS FOR THIS RECIPE Use your favourite Ale/Beer, darker ales will produce a deeper flavour and a golden beer will create a sweeter flavour. Use diced stewing/braising beef, Flank, Skirt and Brisket are commonly used as stewing beef.
1.33 Pounds stewing Beef
1 Teaspoon Garlic Puree
1 Tablespoon Tomato Puree
1 Beef Stock Pot
1 Tablespoon Thyme
2 Tablespoon Flour
10oz Ale (Dark or Golden)
- Add beef and coat with flour in a bowl
- Turn On crock pot to High, Place on bottom the onions sliced, with the Tomato and Garlic Puree, then add the thyme, stock pot. Now add the Beef coated in flour shaken off excess.
- Pour in the Ale Stir to combine
- Cook for 6 hours.
