Simple and easy Caramel for apples and dipping.

Ingredients

  • One can of sweetened condensed milk

Directions

  • Fill the crockpot full of water and place the can into the crockpot. Make sure the can is completely covered with water. Place the crockpot on low for 8 hours.

Both faired fine in the cooking process.  This is a picture of the cans in the crockpot, covered in water.

After they were prepared and served we tasted both.  The Carnation is in the blue bowl and the Eagle Brand is in the yellow bowl.  By FAR, Carnation not only tasted better, but looked and felt more like caramel.

We preferred Carnation to the Eagle Brand.  Here you can see the Carnation Caramel and it’s consistency.
It also goes very well on cookies!!
Enjoy!  Don’t forget to PIN this recipe!!
