Walmart Teriyaki Chicken

This is a very different slow cooker teriyaki chicken, whilst other recipes thicken the sauce after, we have coated the chicken in cornflour and this creates a sauce with the chicken.

We used Cider vinegar with this recipe, but you can use white wine vinegar or white wine for a sweeter teriyaki chicken.

Can Be strecthed to feed more with more rice/side dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds Diced Chicken

  • 2 Onions

  • 1 Chicken stock pot

  • 1 Teaspoon of Ginger Puree

  • 1 Teaspoon of Garlic Puree

  • 2 Tablespoons of Corn Startch

  • 3.5 oz Cider/white wine Vinegar

  • 3.5 oz Soy Sauce

  • 3.5 oz Honey

  • 2 oz Soft Brown Sugar

Directions

  • Dice Chicken into bite size pieces and coat with corn startch.
  • Turn Crockpot on Low, Add diced onions.
  • Add Ginger, Garlic, Stock Pot, Soy Sauce, Chicken removing any extra corn startch.
  • Pour over top of chicken Apple cider, Soy Sauce, and the honey.
  • Stir to combine, Cook for 6 hours.
